should you drink before eating or after eating?
Posted on Dec 29, 2008 under Drink | 5 CommentsI was told a long time ago by a pretty intelligent person that you should wait about 30 minutes after you've eaten before drinking liquids to allow your body's mechanics take as many nutrients out as possible — that so much liquid would dilute the necessary fluids, etc in your stomach… Then, a doctor told me that a great way to lose weight is to drink lots of water before you eat, because you'll get full faster and eat less. Eating less would certainly lead to a certain amount of weight loss, but unhealthy weight loss is not a great trade-off for me. Any thoughts on this?
