Why are drugs(cocaine, ecstacy etc.) illegal but alcohol and smoking are not?
Posted on Mar 30, 2009 under Smoke | 7 CommentsIs it because the goverment can't TAX it? Smoking and alcohol kills more people yearly than drugs in a decade but you don't see them being banned.

Because moderate use of cocaine and ecstasy is still a lot more dangerous than moderate use of alcohol and smoking. I do think that everything should be legal though, so that people can choose their mistakes.

Simple reason, People who use alcohol and cigarrettes don't go out and commit crimes to get the money to purchase them.
Cigarettes don't change your personality.

it is because the people that make up the law won't support a bill including all of those drugs to be pass because they value their career but if we the people would have a vote at it most likely a few of the drug would be legal to us not all of them but some would be
