changes in diet for health and weight loss?
Posted on Jun 11, 2009 under Diet and health |So for the past 4+ months ive been eating REALLY unhealthy (ie: fast food every day, a lot of junk food like cake and chocolate) and not exercising at all. So ive decided to make some major changes in my diet to be healthier and to lose weight. No crash diets or fad diets or anything like that just making changes to my permenant diet.
Obviously im going to start feeling healthier soon(er) but I am curious as to how quickly I should start losing weight?
im going from fast and junk food everyday to lower (around 1500) calories and lower (around 30-40) good carbs and am going to start exercising daily.
Should I see a slight weight loss fairly soon or no?

There is no magic pill or program for weight loss, regardless of what others tell you. A healthy weight loss is 2 - 3 lbs per week.
You need to follow a sensible diet and start exercising. Start eating fruits and vegetables and lean protein.
There is a great show on the Lifestyle channel, Cook Yourself Thin. They show you how to change your fave recipes to low fat, low calorie. It’s a really neat show.
Their idea is that you take your goal weight and multiply by 10. This number is your maximum daily calories.
You need to eat what's called filling foods to not get hungry all the time. Things like apples and bananas are filling. Almost all types of beans, garbanzo, green, kidney, re-fried fat-free, beets, cauliflower are some of the many filling veggies.
Avoid over-use of salt, you will retain water.
Drink water, and if you don’t like it plain try a little squeezed lemon or lime in it. Drink at least 8 ozs before each meal.
You may also want to try switching from 3 meals a day and eating 4 or 5 lighter meals.
Exercise, … if you don’t already start walking or anything. Just don’t overdo it at first or you will find reasons to stop.
Losing weight requires a lifestyle change.
Good luck!

It is possible to lose weight rapidly but you should be realistic and understand that if you lose weight fast then you will almost certainly put it all back on again just as fast. The sole diet which clearly delivered for me is green tea, it can be checked out in the resource box underneath, they have a limited number of free trials remaining, it has been reported in Reader's Digest and CNN. I shed twenty five pounds, it clearly does produce success!

Weight loss was a huge problem for me until I tried acai berry. I know they say that pills won't work, but they definitely worked for me, and they have been showcased on the Rachael Ray Show too. There's a free trial on at the moment at http://kinaracs.niar.tv, why not check it out , what have you got to lose?

That Top Contributor named laura just spams these messages, dont listen to her. She rights the same thing to everyone.
That being said, you should start seeing weight loss. What I would recommend at this point, is to drink a lot of water and other 0 calorie beverages, such as green tea. That way, you will clean the toxins out of your system.

Check out this website about reducing carbs;-} that is key.
Give up soft-drinks, starches, & sugars, (aka white death).
You'll start to see results in a week, if you stay on the program.
His book has lo-carb recipes, he was trained as a chef.
