WOMEN- Do you think a man who knows a lot about diamonds and how to buy the best is sexy (if OK looking)?

I am wondering if, all things being equal, understanding diamonds, how to select, buy, mount and give, would make the average guy more appealing? Of would it seem "effemanate" to you? Ladies only please.
Hey- for sll of you who are saying- "Who do You think you are???" etc., please read the question- IT’S FOR A BOOK– as in dispelling popular myths. I’m NOT trying to bash on single women- I am merely interested to see what you might think about the subject! Thanks for reading.

You know about diamonds, so what? Is that supposed to make you incredibly good looking all of a sudden?

i personally dont find it sexy
if my boyfriend would get me a diamond i would be happy
he picked it out, and to me it doesnt have to be the best diamond in the would, its from him and i love him, thats all that matters to me.

I don’t think it matters. I would just treat it as another hobby. With diamonds, it’s more about the love and the thought, rather than the actual quality or type of diamond.

I guess I am more jaded than I realized. My first thought would be wanting to know how this man knows so much about diamonds. Like, how many times has he been married anyway? First instinct–any guy that knows that much about them, that spells lots and lots of very serious relationships. If he’s not been married a ton of times, then why did all those relationships get that far and then fall through?
I don’t think knowing that info about diamonds makes a man seem effeminate. I just would need to be given a clear and legimate reason as to how he gained this wealth of knowledge. Worked in a jewelry store? fine. Worked in a S.African mine? great. Just, like I said, jaded I guess.

I couldn’t care less what you know about diamonds. I don’t know anything about them, myself. It’s a frivolous subject. Who cares? A guy who thinks too much about this sort of thing is probably really shallow and boring.

hmm, This could make a guy more appealing, but to me, truthfully would not be an important factor until maybe when we were planning on getting engaged.
