I’m writing a paper on the perception of beauty to different cultures. For example, in Africa- fat is sexy. In China, small feet is beautiful (that is why many womens’ feet are bound to restrict growth), etc. Guys, please state what you consider to be beautiful of a woman. Be specific- fat, short, thin, busty, small chested, etc! Also, please state your ethnicity— instead of white, say "from Texas" or "from LA".
Thanks, your answers are appreciated!!
Hello all, I am in a Cultural Anthropology class and we are studying the sub cultures with in our own society. I have a field work essay and i decided to do my sub culture on a Beauty school my friend goes to ( Paul Mitchell). I went there to observe the surroundings and be as objective as possible but im finding myself at a road block. If any of you guys have any suggestions i could put for that would be awesome. ie: Everyone at paul mitchell must wear black…
Thanks!
aww thanks ladies! helped out a lot!
I wonder how everything is like it is today..
It seems to me in my life (1994-present) this thirst for beauty and the current trend has accelerated..
I always thought it was normal till I looked back and noticed that It never seemed to be as important as it is today!
With examples like Heidi Montag and any 30,40+ year old business person going in for work, do you think that our society has got to a point were you HAVE to be beautiful?
Whats you opinion
White & Asian guys seems to prefer slimmer women
whereas black & latino culture prefer more curvy women
Is there a reason black & hispanic men generally care more for a woman’s buttocks, hips, and waist line
and why white & asian guys go more a woman’s chest?
I am speaking generally
If a woman is slim with both a large buttocks & breasts, wider hips, and a slim waistline would she more universally attractive?
I guess you are right
When I say curvy I DO NOT MEAN FAT
Universal meaning are there certain facial features and proportions that are generally held attractive in all cultures?
