What’s worse for your health: Bulimia or eating a diet high in fat and sodium?

Is this a healthy diet to maintain my weight and overall health? 24, 5′8?
Posted on Nov 06, 2010 under Diet and health | 2 CommentsIm 24, 5′8 1/2 and my weight varies from 115 to 123, it fluctuates all month long. I want to know if I am eating healthy and enough to maintain my weight, I don’t want to gain or lose any! I love the way I look and want to stay healthy and slim. Here is an average day for me:
I work out (finally) 2x to 3x per week cardio + toning excercises using body weight. This just for health reasons and tone. I have always been "skinny" but that didnt mean fit until recently!
Breakfast: 1 Large coffee with 1/2 cup vitamin D milk and 2 or 3 tsp of honey in the coffee instead of processed sugar. Also either a few peices of turkey or a banana (varies from day to day which one)
snack: Olives, carrots or a peice of whole wheat toast with 2 tbs honey (I love honey)! The natural kind =) (Coffee + D milk & honey)
Lunch: Two eggs, carrots, a few pickles, vitamin water (zero) the multivitamin kind and green beans or peas. Sometimes I add some string cheese
snack: A few peices of dark chocolate with almonds (coffee+D milk & honey)
Dinner: I usally have a glass or two of wine a night, cabernet or merlot because they have more antioxidants. I don’t drink anything else but wine (no liquor etc). I usually have @ least one glass a night 10-12oz.
I don’t eat many sweets except dark chocolate and I am usually a cautious person when it comes to eating bad foods. I moderate everything and am careful not to over-eat.
BUT…What adiice do you have about this diet? Do you think it’s enough or too much? Also I work at a perfume store where I am on my feet walking at least 5-7 hours a day. I do eat candy a few times a week, (skittles) are my favorite and pretty much the only "bad" thing I love to eat. Any advice on chaning or adding things would be great! I also LOVE coffee and have probably 3 cups a day with vitamin D milk and honey. I also take a multi-vitamin everyday religiously and other vitamins which include ( A hair, skin and nails supplement which is over the counter, vitamin E for my dry skin, fish oil a few times a week, vitamin b-12 and also sometimes a green tea extract pill.)
I am also married recently so we are not using protection or BC, whenever it happens we are ready so we are both trying to be healthy =)
Health, Nutrition, and Diet?
Posted on Oct 14, 2010 under Diet and health | 2 CommentsI am 5′10 and weigh about 150 lbs. I am pretty fit and toned as it is but I would like to decrease my body fat more. I eat healthy and exercise daily (alternating between cardio and lifting) but can’t seem to take my body fat and muscle to the next level. My diet consists of the following…Breakfast: Eggwhite omelet with spinach, non fat feta cheese, and cherry tomatoes. I also have 1 cup of dry oatmeal and berries and almonds/walnuts. For a midmorning snack i have either a protein snack bar or non fat plain yogurt and a piece of fruit (apple, banana, necatarine, etc). For lunch I either eat a salad (mixed greens, peppers, carrots) and grilled chicken, or leftovers from dinner the night before. Leftovers usually consist of chicken/fish, brown rice/sweet potatoes/yellow potatoes, and cooked vegetables. I usually also have a mid afternoon snack consisting of a piece of fruit. I typically workout in the early evening. After my workout I have a protein shake. About an after my workout I eat dinner which typically consists of the items I mentioned in my lunch. Occasionally I will eat dinner after my workout and save the protein shake for an hour or two after my dinner. Please make suggestions and advise on how to reduce body fat. I also wouldn’t mind increasing muscle.
Dieting and exercising for health and happiness? Healthy recipes?
Posted on Oct 04, 2010 under Diet and health | 2 CommentsI am seventeen years old, with a so-so metabolism. I must work off what I eat, but I do not gain weight excessively. I am 5′5 and 165 pounds but it does not show. I have large breasts and a bubble butt which people assume holds most of my weight. I don’t know, or care. All I know is that my thighs are rather "thundery" and my stomach is pudgy. Examples here–>

I’m on the left in the striped shirt.
I don’t eat a lot of junk as a rule, if I snack on anything "junky" it will be a few cookies with milk or Orville Redenbacher’s SmartPop. My favourite snacks are marble cheese on stone wheat thins with chai tea, or whole wheat nachos with salsa. I try to eat six "meals" a day but with my hectic senior year, babysitting, taking care of my animals and keeping the basement clean, I lose track a lot. I am also rather fond of pastas and red meat. My favourite meals are lasagna, spaghetti, steak/roast with mashed potatoes.
I do not have any health issues per se, but I am genetically a "tree trunk" — my dad is very ‘thick’ too, and his eating habits have made him fat. Since genetically I take after him I don’t want to end up like him, so I was wondering, what can I do to get rid of the belly, and thin out my thighs, even slightly?
Exercise is crucial, I know that, I play my Wii a lot (it’s good for cardio if you play ‘the right games’). I play Wii Fit for 60 minutes every night and I play "Just Dance" which is an insane cardio exercise. I go jogging after school and push myself to go a little farther every time. I walk with my mother into town on weekends (we live 15 minutes out, it takes us 50 minutes to walk in).
I’d like tips, specific foods to eat, specific exercises… Is Pilates and Yoga helpful? I found Pilates to make me sore and I assume those are more for toning and flexibility.
Also I am trying to expand my culinary horizons (aka, I can’t really cook, and I’m seventeen, how pitiful) so if there are any exceptionally healthy recipes I should try, I’d like those, as well.
I know I can google a lot of this but it helps to have people who know from experience and can tell me specifically tailored to my question instead of a generic google answer.
Thanks ahead of time!

I’m not particularly trying to fit into a stereotype or look good for anyone else, just myself. I don’t want to be "skinny and sexy," I just want to be healthy. I believe my boyfriend would appreciate it also but he says I’m beautiful as I am and I really don’t have confidence issues, even if my body isn’t top notch I am liked for my personality and my happiness.
So personal reasons, not because I want to "be like the pretty girls" or anything!
