I’m doing a project for school about beauty ideals in different cultures, and I was wondering if anyone knew some. I know in Canada and the US, being skinny is the ideal while in Africa women with curves and flesh are the picture of ideal beauty. What about other countries? Germany, Australia, Mexico? I’ve been trying to find some info online, but haven’t found much, surprisingly.

I grew up in a small, rural American town and it seems so unfortunate that so many people live in ignorance of the beauty of diversity and culture; it’s like they never truly know how big the world really is. There’s so much you can learn just from immersing yourself. Even your viewpoints and basic values get challenged and it really makes you think and grow as a person
I just can’t believe SO many people live like this–quite sheltered actually. They don’t even know that they’re missing out because they don’t know what exists

The CDC, public health agencies, and most medical schools and MDs still tell people to undereat for the purpose of weight loss, relative to their physical activity: known as dieting.
Why do these medical and public health people and institutions still constantly recommend dieting when the eating disorder organizations are advocating against it?
Do a little research online.
Hint: does it have something to do with the influence of the $60 billion/year diet industry’s influence?
Best answer for best research, stats, and use of citations. Thanks!

Okay, i’m on a diet. I just started not even a week ago. I have to admit.. I barely have been eating, but when I do it’s always fruits and veggies. I only drink water and I’ve been exercising. But… I feel weak and I am very shaky. Am I over doing it?
