Eating soy improves your memory

           Everyone knows soy is great for the body, but new research shows it helps the mind too. Pharmacologists at King’s,  College  in London found that people who ate a highsoy diet for

 10 weeks developed better memory than those who consumed the same amounts of protein, fat, and calories, but without the soy. The results were not unexpected: Soy is rich in isoflavone hytoestrogens — antioxidant chemicals that mimic estrogen's effects on the brain--and previous studies have shown that estrogen improves memory . But researcher Sandra Fife was impressed that "evena three-month change of diet can lead to improved memory"--  so long as you gulp the equivalent of a quarter-pound of tofu, or a pint of soy milk, every day.
